A Slight Set-back

So, I have received a disappointing email this morning. Unfortunately the supplier of the Nail Trainer which I ordered from Millennium Nails has stopped production, so the training kit that I ordered won't be arriving :(. Luckily the customer services people at Groupon were extremely friendly and are going to refund me in full within 5-7 working days. I have also received a refund for the postage which I paid directly to Millennium Nails, who have said they are sending me a free gift as an apology, will post when I know what that is too :)

This set back is definitely not the end of the road, I am still determined to make something of myself in this field, and have been looking into other options. I am planning on buying myself some basic supplies to experiment and practice with, whilst I try to save up to do a proper course in a beauty school. I have been doing a bit of research and have found an ideal course that covers manicure, as well as gel, acrylics, fiberglass, silks and nail art, which I am particularly interested in. At the moment it is half price, but as it is still £400 I have a lot of saving up to do even with my £200 refund, I just hope that it is still half price when I have saved up the money!

This course is a 4 day course in a classroom with other students, rather than just an online course, so will undoubtedly provide better access to all the information and training that I need :) Maybe the lack of the training kit isn't a set-back at all, if I may be able to do a complete course (rather than solely acrylics) instead. I can always buy the nail trainer itself separately, I think it is about £99 new, but there seem to be a lot of second hand ones around to purchase online too :) I think the nail trainer would be very valuable to me when I am learning as I don't know that many people near where I live that would let me practice on them!

Also, I just have a quick update on my firework nails, here is what they look like today -

As you can see they still have no chips! And the firework display that I wore them to last night was awesome. As these nails are still in good shape, and I am not yet bored of them, I am going to keep them on another day at least. This nail polish has survived several loads of washing up, a shower and hair wash, a trip to the gym and a firework display, to mention but a few, so I am thrilled that they are still pretty much flawless!

Will blog you again soon, S x
