Chipped Nail = New Nail

So, I only did my poppy inspired nails yesterday, and chipped my right hand index finger today :( I'm terrible for picking them, so within about 5 minutes all of the nail polish was off of that finger, so I had to replace it.

I didn't want to just replace it with the same design, as I have decided that the base colour is to dark, and will be changing it as soon as I get back to Bristol. In the end I decided to do a little ladybug on my nail, I thought he would be cute, make the manicure a bit more interesting, and also fits in with the theme of the manicure, as he has all those flowers for himself!

Initially I painted the whole nail in 17 Strictly Red - the same one I used for the poppies yesterday:
I then drew a black line down the centre of the nail using the bent hair grip from yesterday (sooo can't wait for my brushed to arrive!) I used the actual brush from the nail varnish pot to create it's head and used the hair pin again to add the spots and the little white eyes. I used the same Stargazer black polish as I used for the centre of the poppies, and the white I used was just a generic french white polish. I finished with a bit of No7 Stay Perfect Topcoat and here he is:

Again, excuse the messy edges, I forgot to bring my liquid nail polish remover to Devon with me! I still think he's cute :)

Bye for now, S x
