Firework Inspired Design

So, as it is the 5th of November, and I'm going to a fireworks display with my other half tonight, I thought I would make a few additions to my sponged tips from earlier, and create a firework design :)

Now, as I don't have any nail art brushes or pens or anything, I had to improvise, and decided to use the handle end of an old makeup brush to dot on a firework themed design. I also wanted to add some glitter, especially to the nails without extra nail art, I wanted silver or gold glitter really, but could only find a red one in my box. I think it has worked fairly well with the other colours though :) I was worried it would clash with the pink tips, but as the glitter I used isn't very dense it has turned out ok.

Anyway, this is what I came up with:

The pink that I used was the same one I used for the tips; 17 high gloss nail polish in Miami. The white spots were added on second, and that polish was just a generic french white nail polish. I then applied Stargazer glitter nail polish in 148, one coat over the nail art, and 2 coats on all the other nails. I finished off with No7 Stay Perfect topcoat, as it lasted so well on yesterdays nails.

I am sure I could have achieved better results if I had some good brushes, but I am happy with how these have turned out, and look forward to showing them off at the firework display tonight :)
